You may be a victim of domestic violence if your partner:
- Hits you
- Threatens to hurt you, your children or your family
- Constantly criticises and blames you for everything
- Controls all the money
- Makes you do things you don't want to
- Forces you to have sex when you don't want to
- Lets other members of the family abuse you
It can be hard to admit you are a victim of domestic violence but
help is available by ringing the numbers above. You are not the only
person suffering and it is not your fault. You are not responsible for
the violence
Ignoring violence is dangerous: It rarely happens once and usually
gets increasingly serious the longer it continues
