The eighteenth-century weather-boarded Tylers Hall Farm, which still survives in the
north-east of the parish, near the common. The land on which this was built was formerly
part of Upminster Hall manor, and the house was the home of
the Redman family. Mary, wife of Captain John Redman, was the third daughter of Andrew Branfill of Upminster Hall
and his wife Damarie, nee Aylett.
